We feel comfortable working with the government of Yulia Tymoshenko. Relations between Russia and Ukraine are more stable, said Putin.

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin expressed his satisfaction with development of relations between the Russian and Ukrainian government. He said that he felt “comfortable” working with his Ukrainian counterpart, Yulia Tymoshenko, Russian media reports.
- We were pleased to work with the prime minister Tymoshenko’s government. During our cooperation relations between Russia and Ukraine have become more stable and stronger - Putin said on Thursday after Yalta talks with Tymoshenko.
- We are still unable to agree, but despite all the difficulties, we respect all our obligations - said Russian President.
Putin and Tymoshenko met in the Crimea to discuss energy and other bilateral issues.
It will be nice to welcome the New Year without disasters
Russia has agreed to reduce the amount of gas sold to Kiev and accepted Kiev's decision to increase fees for transit of Russian gas to Europe by 60 percent.
- Gazprom and Naftogaz have agreed on new quantities - Putin said, referring to the Russian and Ukrainian oil company.
- Fares will rise by about 60 percent - said.
- I sincerely hope that all the agreements that we reached will be implemented - said Putin.
- It will be nice to welcome the New Year without any disasters - he said.
Tymoshenko said that Ukraine will be very careful and precise in fulfilling their commitments regarding the transit of Russian gas.
