Ratko Mladic Financed By Vujic Valjevo Company?

Text

Owner of the Vujic Valjevo company claims he has never contacted Ratko Mladic in his life.

An operation of the Serbian police began on Monday morning, which raided the Vujic company facilities in Valjevo. The operation began after the police obtained information that brothers Vidoje and Vladislav Vujic were financing Ratko Mladic during his escape.

The company offices were blocked until 14:30 hours and the Vujevics` homes were also searched.

War crime prosecution and the police have been investigating the connection between the Vujic brothers and the finances of Mladic`s escape for five years now, Press Online writes.

- There is reasonable doubt that Vidoje and Vladislav Vujic are financing Mladic`s escape. We have tracked down suspicious transactions between the Vujic Valjevo company and the Impakt company, which is owned by Darko Mladic, the son of Ratko Mladic. There is definitely a connection between Mladic and Vujic, but evidence is required that this is not just business between these two companies – a source from the interior ministry told the Press Online.

- We went through every last piece of paper, photographs. We took away complete documents, a mobile phone that belongs to one of the brothers and photos in which Vujic was with The Hague defendant Momcilo Krajisnik and generals Dragoljub Ojdanic and Nebojsa Pavkovic – the source said.

Vidoje Vujic said he has never contacted Ratko Mladic.

- I claim that I have never personally met the general in my life. My only connection with him is that I signed a co-operation contract last year with the Impakt company, owned by Darko Mladic – Vujic explained.
