Ratko Mladic was localised in Serbia, and through the negotiator he said : Come and capture me!
War criminal and former commander of the Bosnian Serb army, Ratko Mladic, was localised in Serbia. The Serbian Minister of Defence Dragan Sutanovac sent him an appeal to hand himself in, Serbian Glas Javnosti reported,
Mladic was localised about three weeks ago, and not they are trying to settle his handing in as an capture operation would be extremely dangerous, Glas Javnosti reported.
If Mladic remains on his position not to give up, they will wait an ideal moment for an operation, due to possible reactions of the public. There are speculations that the delayed sitting of the National Assembly of Serbia was due to this reason, but as the day scheduled for the sitting is getting closer, there is little time for an opeartions.
Glas Srpske from Banja Luka, on Saturday, referring to high Serb political sources, wrote that in alleged negotiation over Mladic’s surrender, he said that he would not go to The Hague of his own free will and said: Come and capture me!.
On Thursday, in fact, Serbian prosecutor for war crimes, Vladimir Vuckevic, told agency AP that he expected Mladic’s arrest soon, and that he believed he is hiding in Serbia.
