Sarkozy's son suffers food poisoning

ODESSA, Ukraine, Jan. 25 (UPI) -- Pierre Sarkozy, son of French President Nicolas Sarkozy, was flown to France Wednesday after coming down with food poisoning in Odessa, Ukraine.

The 26-year-old eldest son of the French president was in Odessa to perform at a local club under his stage name DJ Mosey Tuesday, but never arrived, Voice of America reported.

An ambulance took Pierre Sarkozy to a hospital and a spokesman for the Internal Affairs Ministry's Chief Directorate in Odessa said he suffered from food poisoning of medium severity, the Ukrainian News Agency reported.

"A plane with Nicolas Sarkozy's son has already taken off from the Odessa International Airport," an Odessa official told RIA Novosti Wednesday.

Pierre Sarkozy is the French president's eldest son by first his wife, Marie-Dominique Culioli.
