Suspected militants arrested by Saudi Arabia were training as pilots to carry out suicide attacks in the kingdom.

Suspected militants arrested by Saudi Arabia were training as pilots to carry out suicide attacks in the kingdom, including on oil installations and military bases, the Interior Ministry said on Friday.

The ministry, in a statement read on state television, also said that police seized large amounts of money in the raids during which the militants were arrested.

Al Arabiyah television reported that 172 militants were arrested.
