KHAR - Taliban insurgents blew up a girls` school in the Bajaur region on the Afghan border, police and residents said.

 Following are security developments in Pakistan at 1645 GMT on Sunday.

* SWAT - Security forces killed 16 Taliban militants in various clashes in the Swat Valley, northwest of the capital, Islamabad, over the past 24 hours, the military said on Sunday.

Earlier, residents said seven civilians were killed and nine wounded in an overnight exchange of fire between security forces and militants. A military spokesman confirmed the clash but said he had reports of two civilians wounded.

KHAR - Taliban insurgents blew up a girls' school in the Bajaur region on the Afghan border, police and residents said.

* QUETTA - A bomb planted on a parked motorcycle wounded 12 people, including two members of the security forces, in the gas-rich southwestern province of Baluchistan, police said.

Separatist militants have waged a low-level insurgency in the province for decades.
