Serb Radicals Expect to Remain in Opposition

Serbia's ultranationalist Radical Party does not expect to be invited to form the next government.

Serbia's ultranationalist Radical Party does not expect to be invited to form the next government despite finishing first in Sunday's general election, its deputy leader Tomislav Nikolic said on Monday.

Serbian President Boris Tadic "will not give us the mandate", Nikolic predicted in an interview with Reuters. He said the pro-Western parties would have a hard time forming a coalition and forecast that it would be shortlived.
