Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vuk Jeremic told BBC that Belgrade is prepared to offer broadest autonomy possible for Kosovo, trying to aid reaching an agreement on the future of Kosovo, Belgrade electronic media report on Thursday.
-Serbia is prepared to consider the possibility of renouncing some of forms of sovereignty. Thus, Kosovo would have access to Wold Bank and the International Monetary Fund and other international finance institutions, and some form of representation abroad. We are prepared to give up a lot of things, but they will have to be prepared to give up something as well- Jeremic told BBC.
He said that Serbia has reached new negotiations, thanks to “the principled support of Russia, i.e. their principled abiding the norms of international law. At the same time, nobody should doubt that Serbian strategic orientation is EU membership”.
