Serbia`s Tomislav Nikolic: I Will Sue CNN!

Nikolic is proud because CNN equalised him with Mladic, as they published his image instead, but still announced a lawsuit against CNN.

CNN, popular American TV Network cannot tell the difference between Ratko Mladic and Tomislav Nikolic, it seems. The Americans have published an extensive article on their web site, about the search of Ratko Mladic`s Belgrade home, but the article was accompanied with an image of Tomislav Nikolic, president of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), depicting a poster from his presidential campaign entitled “With All Hart for Serbia”.

The image which clearly shows Nikolic was captioned “Ratko Mladic is charged with genocide before the International Tribunal in The Hague”. Along with the image, an Associated Press article was published about the search for the former Bosnian Serb military head, entitled “Serbian Police Continue Hunt For Genocide Suspect  Ratko Mladic”.

Nikolic told the Press Online he hoped CNN had enough money, because he was planning to sue them for this “coincidence”.

Not a mistake, but a well-though operation, Nikolic claims

- What can I say, I hope various bounty hunters won`t start hunting me after the publication of this image, to sell me to The Hague for 5 million dollars. Everyone knows that I always walk around freely – Nikolic told the Press.

He pointed out that he did not believe a mistake was in question, therefore, he announced a lawsuit.

- I believe some sort of an envisioned operation was in question, because such unprofessionalties do not happen to such a service. I hope the CNN`s financial power is good and that the world financial crisis has not encompassed them, because I will sue them for this. They will have to explain in court, how it was possible to confuse the image of Rakto Mladic and the image from my presidential campaign, taken this year. My attorneys will decide before which court I will sue them and what sort of compensation I would demand. I hope the CNN has enough money – Nikolic said.

When asked how he took this professional oversight personally, Nikolic replied that he was “proud because CNN equalised him with Ratko Mladic”, according to the Press.

- I`ll sue them, nevertheless – he concluded.
