Silajdzic To Dodik: Time For Such Methods Is Over

Nobody, not even Dodik, can question genocide committed in BH, says Haris Silajdzic.

Haris Silajdzic, BH Presidency member told Dodik that nobody, not even him, can question genocide committed in BH. Silajdzic commented on the Bosnian Serb entity of Republika Srpska Prime Minister Milorad Dodik, who said RS will not implement International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia verdict, in a law-suit BH filed against Serbia and Montenegro for genocide.

-We are all obliged to respect court provisions, and in the case of disrespect, UN Security Council can impose all necessary measures in order for this verdict to be implemented. As far as the entity goes, they do not have interference when it comes to this issue, especially they do not have the authorities to challenge or undermine the ICTFY provision- said Silajdzic and told Dodik the time of such methods was over.

RS Government President`s statement about not accepting the verdict in the BH law-suit against Serbia and Montenegro, Silajdzic sees as essential ignorance of basic international law principles.

SDA: Dodik has nothing to accept or refuse

Dodik`s statement was condemned in the Democratic Action Party (SDA) as well.

-I do not know why Dodik or RS has to accept this verdict that will the highest UN court rule. BH will accept it and those who were victims of the aggression on our country. This is why I do not understand why Dodik disavows or accepts something on behalf of the women of Srebrenica who lost their sons, on behalf of the people who lost their health, those who were moved, whose cities were torn down, homes ruined- said Bakir Izetbegovic to the Dnevni avaz daily.

This does not concern Dodik

BH Federation Constitutional court deputy president, Kasim Trnka, believes the ICTFY provision does not really concern him.

-It should be clear to Dodik and those with little understanding of law: Parties in a procedure before the IVTFY in Hague are countries. When he would like to know this, understand it correctly and accept it, then Dodik would not come out in public with such statements. Therefore, nobody asked Dodik anything about the implementation of the mentioned court`s verdicts, because he does not represent the country, but only one part of it and this verdict does not concern him at all- said Trnka.
