Existing company “Air Srpska” is indebted and facing bankruptcy, therefore RS government suggested establishment of a new airline.
The Bosnian Serb entity of Republika Srpska Government suggested founding of a home airline called “Sky Srpska”, with a base in Banja Luka, because the existing airline “Air Srpska” has not been in any condition to perform its business for a longer time, the web-site sarajevo-x.com reports.
“Air Srpska has outstanding debts at the moment from an earlier period in the amount of larger than a million convertible marks”, said the Republika Srpska PR representative Vera Sajic.
“Air Srpska does not own an aero plane with which it might perform its basic function, and is facing bankruptcy”.
“In order for RS not to lose its home airline, we suggest a new company to be founded, owned by RS”, it is stated in this RS Government decision on establishing “Sky Srpska”.
