Podobnik claimed that Pahor is defending the interests of Slovenia more than his predecessors, and that his cabinet is decisive.
The former president of the SLS (Slovenian People’s Party) and president of the association “Institute June 25, 1991”. Marjan Podobnik praised on Wednesday the decision by the Slovenian premier Borut Pahor that Slovenia will not allow Croatia to open and close a total of 11 chapters, and has proposed the recall of the president of the Slovenian part of the Slovenian-Croatian committee for arbitration, reported the vice-president of that association who is a so called fighter for the south border Josko Joras.
“Pahor defends Slovenian interests more decisively that previous cabinets” said Podobnik. He added that the president of the Slovenian part of the joint committee for arbitration Miho Pogacnik should be recalled.
“Undisputedly Slovenian…”
Podobnik claims that Pogacnik admitted to his association that territory that is “undisputedly Slovenian” could be the subject of arbitration. This is why Podobnik proposed that the Slovenian member of the committee be the historian Dusa Krnel-Umek, from the Slovenian People’s Party.
“Pahor’s cabinet acts decisively and I hope that they will start to protect our sea and land by the letter of the constitution” said Podobnik, reports Slovenian media.
“I propose that Slovenia does not ratify the protocol of Croatia’s entry into NATO until Croatia stops its occupation of the territory of one of its member nations” said Podobnik, reports the Slovenian press agency STA.
