The Slovenian presidential election will be held on 11 November, Parliamentary Speaker Gregor Virant decided on Wednesday as he signed the decree calling the election.
Incumbent President Danilo Tuerk has already informally announced he will be running for re-election, as did former Prime Minister Borut Pahor (SD), Milan Zver (who has the support of the SDS and NSi parties), as well as independent candidates.
A runoff, which is expected, would be held three weeks later. (Hina)
