Sulejman Talovic (18) who had killed five and wounded four people in Salt Lake City was buried yesterday in his home village of Talovici, Vlasenica municipality. Over 500 friends and relatives were attended the funeral.

Mother fainted

His mother Sabira had taken sedatives and she did not want to communicate with anyone. Before the burial bowing, tear ran down her cheek, and when the coffin with the body of her son Sulejman was opened before her house, as it the custom, Sabira only touched it lightly on the lips, sighed and fainted, Nezavisne novine write.

His father Suljo was more level-headed, as he tried to explain to the rallied journalists what was happening in his US home. He still does not know what went on in the mind of his son when he decided to commit a crime.

The police investigation is not making any progress

- They still suspect that there is someone behind his act. I have no idea who – Suljo said, and added that he has no information if the police investigation is making any progress.

Talovic's family is still in a state of a shock over the crime which shocked the US general public. Majority of them who were yesterday at dzenaza, the Muslim ritual bowing at the funeral do not know much about the young man to whom they come to pay the last respect. They remember him as a boy, and they speak the best of his parents. But this makes Sulejman's undisclosed motives even more intriguing.

Media related the crime with his mosque going

Although certain US media linked the crime that the young Talovic committed with his mosque frequenting, father Suljo negated that he had met someone in the mosque. He says that they had gone to the mosque on Friday, together.

Sulejman stopped attending school

Couple of years ago Sulejman Talovic stopped attending the school. Since then he had only religious teaching. Father Suljo said that the child left the school on his own initiative because of the threats he received at school.

- I do not know if Bosnians of Americans threatened him, but they threatened to kill him with knives. If rather had the child removed from school, then killed – father Suljo Talovic said.

After they had removed him from school, he 'livened up' and completely freed himself of any fear.
