The woman denied all charges, saying she was only helping the boy and his brother because they did not have a mother.
Christine McCallum, a teacher in an American primary school, has been convicted on 11 counts of statutory rape, The Sun reported.
The teacher had sexual relations with the boy on her living room sofa while her husband slept upstairs. They maintained sexual relations from February 2006 to November 2007.
The woman denied all charges, saying she was only helping the boy and his brother because they did not have a mother. During the trial, she was holding her husband’s hand.
But a friend of the 13-year-old boy told his mother about the unnatural relationship and she soon passed on that information to the boy’s father.
The prosecutors claim the boy admitted to having sexual relations with his teacher almost every day until they broke off the relationship due to her jealousy.
