The Secret of the Assassination of Ante Pavelic

Text

After years of investigation, Zlatar poured the material into a novel that reveals the secrets of the assassination of Ante Pavelic.

ZAGREB, CROATIA - The famous publicist, writer and journalist Pero Zlatar, came to Zagreb with the manuscript of his new novel that reveals all of the secrets of the assassination on the former head of the Independent State of Croatia (1941-1945).

It will be read like an intense thriller

“I handed in the manuscript to be read, so the book “Assassination of Ante Pavelic” will soon be available in Jutarnji List’s publications. I gathered documents and information for a few years, and poured the material I collected into a novel which will, I believe, be read like an intense thriller” revealed Zlatar to his friends.

Gathering material for the novel, Zlatar found out that, not knowing about each other, the Serbian and the Croatian UDBA separately were planning assassinations on Pavelic. The Israeli secret service MOSSAD were also planning Pavelic’s assassination.
“In the end the Chetnik emigrant of Montenegrin descent, Blagoje Jovovic, fired five bullets towards Pavelic. He planned the assassination himself, and missed three times. Two bullets hit their target. Pavelic died two years later as a consequence of those wounds” added Zlatar.

In the mean time he explained to his friends why as the father and “godfather of all godfathers” of Saloon he did not appear at the 39th anniversary of the cult club.

“In Belgrade they stole all of my documents, and in only a few hours they used my credit card to deny me 5,000 euros. I will certainly arrive at the jubilee 40th anniversary”.

We are certain that the success of the new novel about Pavelic will make up for the damage that was done to Pero by thieves in Belgrade.
