The Judgement shows that if the crime is well worked out, you can smoothly get away without any sanctions, one of University Vice-chancellors thinks

Sarajevo University Senate has today held an unscheduled session at which it invited all the university institutions, that is, lecturers, associates and student, to suspend lectures on Friday. It would be a sign of protest against International Court of Justice judgement following charges of BiH against Serbia and Montenegro for genocide.

The court has, by way of reminding, proclaimed Serbia and Montenegro guilty of not preventing and punishing genocide, but acquitted it of committing and aiding and abetting it, which caused consternation in BiH.

The verdict is a planetary fraud

- As an academic community we are appalled by the judgement of ICJ in The Hague, which is contrary to justice and universal legal and moral principles, and it presents a planetary fraud for the victim.

The Chancellor of the University, Dr. Faruk Čaklovica, said that the very University was targeted during the attacks on Sarajevo, which lasted for four years.

If one bears in mind that all points of BiH were equally attacked, with the goal to drive people away from their ancestral homes, it means that ethnic cleansing was present on the entire territory of BiH – Caklovica said.

Are the judges mentally healthy?

As he said, he is not certain if the judges who passed this decision were mentally healthy, but (it is certain that) 'their mental set-up was not on the (proper) civilisation level when they were bringing this lethal decision for the European BiH'.

Zdravko Grebo, professor at Law Faculty (Sarajevo University) and Director of the Centre for Interdisciplinary Postgraduate Studies, that he was frantic when he heard the decision, and he thinks that biggest lies were packed into the judgement.

- It the judgement was based on evidence or lack of evidence, if the only responsibility is for not preventing and not sanctioning the genocide, then the appropriate address for it is the international community, that is, the UN Security Council – Grebo is of opinion.

If you work out the crime well, you can get away without any sanctions

One of the vice-chancellors, Dr Jusuf Ziga, thinks that the judgement is humiliation for victims.        -The judgement shows that if you work out the crime well, you can get away smoothly without sanctions – he said.
