Papua New Guinea police have arrested a woman who tried to put a bag in which there was a dead baby onto an airplane, Australia’s News reported.
The police arrived after they were notified by airport security which found the baby in the luggage.
A man who was with the arrested woman fled as soon as the police arrived. The baby was wrapped up in clothing. It has still not been established if the woman is the mother of the baby.
The director of the airport, Clement Kapapal confirmed airport security found the baby in the luggage. Last week, police arrested a man who was carrying nine grenades in a bag at the same airport.
