Morgan Tsvangirai left a hospital in Harare on Friday
"He is out of hospital and is now going to recuperate from home," Tsvangirai's spokesman William Bango told Reuters.
Bango said Tsvangirai, who is the head of the Movement for Democratic Change, the main opposition party in Zimbabwe, was still in pain from injuries that he says were inflicted by police after his arrest during a political protest on Sunday.
