On Wednesday morning, the 17 year old Tim Kretschmer started his bloody killing spree in the Albertville-Realschule school. It all ended in his suicide. On the last amateur recording before his suicide, it could be seen that the police surrounded him.

Nearly all of the victims of the 17 year old attacker were women, and most were killed with a shot to the head, so it is assumed that it is a crime of hate against women. Also, one of the assumptions is that the murder was prompted by the massacre in the USA, which occurred a few hours earlier, where an armed attacker killed 11 people.

He was walking in a parking lot and he raised his pistol, he was then hit by a police bullet, he sat on the ground and then shot himself in the head.

Remember, the young man started shooting students and teachers in school. After that he headed to the car salon of the Croatian Denis Puljic in Wendlingen and killed him and a salon visitor. Puljic left behind a one year old daughter, and the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integrations confirmed that the Croatian consulate in Stuttgart voiced its condolence to the family of the killed Croatian.

He then turned the weapon towards the police, who returned fire and one bullet hit him. The youngster realised that there was no escape and took his own life. According to the official police report, the victims are nine students (eight girls and one boy), three teachers and three passers by.

People can only speculate about the motive for the killing spree. The killer played table tennis and nobody could have assumed that he could decide on such a tragic move. The weapon that he used to commit suicide was taken from his father’s rich arsenal of 14 various guns and pistols. According to the police report, he planned on killing more people, but the circumstances stopped him in his intentions.

He shot most of his victims in the head, and seven more students were injured in his shooting spree. Because most of his victims were girls, the police suspect that this fact might be behind the motive for the killing spree. The students sat in the classroom when a person they knew walked in, they died with pencils in their hands. Germany has declared a day of mourning, and chancellor Angela Merkel voiced her condolence to the families of those who were killed.
