VIDEO: Young Iran Woman Shot In The Heart

Video

A shocking video leaked from Iran, featuring the murder of a girl. The blogosphere is united, her death is the symbol of freedom activists.

Iran protestors have swarmed the streets of Tehran and other cities in Iran, supporting oppositional presidential candidate Mir-Hossein Mousavi. At least 13 persons were killed in clashes with the police, while over 100 were left injured. Those who lost their life include a young woman who was standing next to protestors with her father, observing events around her. Suddenly a gunshot was fired and the girl fell to the floor. A member of the Basij forces was shooting at the girl and shot her straight in the heart – the bullet exploded in her chest.

The daughter, granddaughter and three cousins of former Iran president Hashemi Radsanjani were arrested over protest involvement. Fazeh Hashemi, a women`s rights activist, former MP and the first female athlete in Iran, has been one of the main political opponents of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, much like her father. The president did not even voice himself regarding the riots which broke out in his capital.

The world media did not report on this event, but a video of the tragedy appeared on YouTube, recorded by a passer-by with a mobile phone. A doctor tried to help the girl, but blood started oozing out through her mouth and nose. She died just two minutes after being shot. The girl`s name was said to be Neda, which translated as voice or call.

- She is the voice of the people and a call for freedom – one of the blogs reads.

Her name appeared on blogs, along with a letter of a girl who calls Neda her sister. The girl wrote that

USA and Britain wash their hands clean, Iran authorities accuse them of the riotsReuters-.--.-A man gestures as he carries a child during a protest in Tehran

Riots in Iran began after the presidential election on June 12 when the incumbent President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad won. His political rival Mousavi accused him of fraud and his supporters took to the streets.

Interestingly enough, policies of Mousavi and Ahmadinejad are not that different, therefore, the Iranian people do not have a choice. It seems that they have decided on a lesser evil. U.S. President Barack Obama said he does not wish to interfere, although messages of support from the protestors arrive from America every day. Things are the same with Great Britain: the authorities over there claim that they cannot influence actions in Iran.

The Iranian authorities accuse terrorists of the riots and claim that the events in their country are controlled from the outside. Although everything began with peaceful demonstrations, the number of killed persons is on the rise and everything is reminiscent of 1979, when the Islamic Revolution took place.

Foreign reporters are not allowed to report from the field, the Iranians do not have access to the majority of Internet sites, the police raid students` dorms and the protest continues, despite the use of force.

Things will become worse if the Iranian authorities decide to arrest Mousavi.
