Prison officials never dreamed that one of their employees may be an internationally wanted criminal.
Preclik worked in the USA for an entire year and was arrested two months after getting the promotion. Really interesting is the idea that he managed to work in a prison for so long, and the prison officials merely had to google his name to find an arrest warrant info.
- It is incredible that the State of Nebraska hires the international criminals, and that someone in the prison of maximum safety cannot check personal data prior to official employment - said Heath Mello, a senator from Omaha, while the spokeswoman Dawn Renee Smith said the prison is now being reviewing its recruitment procedures.
Preclik ended up in Nebraska in 2002 after getting a job at the swine farm, with the help of the company employing the East Europeans contrary to the his tourist visa regulations. He eventually got a residence permit in exchange for a testimony against the company employee who participated in the whole illegal employment scheme. The correctional facility officials have only recently found out that a32-year-old man has been wanted for drug trafficking and fraud, the international media reports.
