Wife Stabs Man Who Refused to Peal Potatoes

A Russian woman was sentenced to 15 months in prison because she stabbed her husband in the eye with a kitchen knife, because he refused to peel potatoes, report the Russian media.

The woman who lives in the suburbs of Penza in central Russia has already been in prison for murder, and she met her husband soon after leaving prison.

Her husband sought medical attention after three days, and first claimed that he injured himself, then he told the truth. He is now nearly totally blind in his left eye.

“The victim begged the court to be lenient towards his wife” said a source from the regional state attorney’s office.
