Witnesses of 9/11: There Were Several Explosions

After the release of reports of testimonies before a 9/11 Commission, serious speculation began about there being explosives in the WTC.

“Rodriguez said on September 11, 2001, he reported late to work which was unusual for him. He said he was in the B1 sublevel ABM office speaking to Anthony Saltamachia when the plane struck the North Tower (WTC 1). He immediately thought the explosion was caused by a generator. Shortly after the first explosion a second explosion rocked the building and caused the office’s false ceiling to collapse. Following these explosions, Felipe David, who was severely burned, ran into the office. Rodriguez said there was a third explosion and he believed then the explosions were caused by an earthquake”, says a report drawn up by J. Miller, one of the members of the 9/11 Commission, after they questioned William Rodriguez who was employed as a porter  in the North Tower. 

Later on, Rodriguez repeated his story on several occasions, telling CNN on the day of the attack that they had heard a loud noise in the basement first.

Shortly after the first explosion a second explosion rocked the building and caused the office’s false ceiling to collapse. Following these explosions, Felipe David, who was severely burned, ran into the office. There was a third explosion and he believed then the explosions were caused by an earthquake.

Report from Rodriguez's testimony

- We heard a loud rumble, then all of a sudden we heard another rumble like someone moving a whole lot of furniture. And then the elevator opened and a man came into our office and all of his skin was off. All of the skin. We went crazy, we started screaming, we told him to get out. We took everybody out of the office outside to the loading dock area – Rodriguez said.

It was later established that the man who ran into the office was Felipe David who got burned by a fireball in front of a freight elevator after the explosions.

Material for new attacks on the government and former presidents 

Although circles of people dealing with the “real truth” about the fall of the WTC have already voiced their suspicions that there had been explosive devices in the towers which were detonated to secure the towers would collapse, the testimonies shed new light onto the attack. It seems there were, indeed, explosions.

All this was revealed after Barack Obama, not long after assuming office, ordered security agencies to make available to the public, at request, all information, in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), which was not the case until then.

Before then FOIA was under strict control of American secret services and the legislature and even, as some believe, President Bush himself. After the 9/11 attack, State Attorney John Ashcroft ordered security agencies to keep all information secret until all means of their keeping under wraps are exhausted. So the information was kept within the agencies.

Further release of information is expected which could help William Rodriguez in his actions against the government and hiding information. In 2004 Rodriguez filed a lawsuit against 156 parties which he considers responsible for the collapse of the WTC, but it was dismissed after a verdict on the innocence of America, FEMA and the National Security Ministry, one of the 153 parties which included Donald Rumsfeld, Dick Cheney and both presidents Bush.
