Three boys took a thousand dollar note from one of their houses, then fled.
Three teenagers fled from one of their homes in a town in Texas, 135 kilometers west of Detroit, but the police found them thanks to a one thousand dollar banknote, write the local newspapers there.
The Kalamazoo Gazette and Birmingham News write that the three boys took a safe from one of their houses, and then stole a van which they used to fell from home.
There was money in the safe, but what they did not know is that an old collectable banknote was in question, which was pulled out of circulation a long time ago, so they tried to “break” the thousand dollar bill.
The bank that they tried to exchange the money at called the police because the 1000 dollar bills have not been manufactured since 1945.
The police took them in and held them in custody until their parents arrived.
