The HDZ features the highest number of MPs from Dalmatia and Lika, while the MP from Zagreb or Slavonia are mainly members of the SDP.

In 1985 he finished his masters degree at the same faculty, and gained the title Master of agricultural sciences. He did his training in the PIK Neretva Opuzen company, and finished it in the Razvitak Metkovic company. He has been the mayor of the city of Metkovic since 1997, and held it for three mandates. Since then he has participated in nine elections, twice for the county meeting for the Dubrovnik-Neretva county and absolutely won. He is a participant of the Croatian War of Independence.
