The iconic British artist is celebrating his 62nd birthday on January 8.

DAVID BOWIE – Seeing how David Bowie really is an exceptional musician, he had an exceptional injury. Usually roses and teddy bears are thrown at stars like him, but someone threw a lolly pop at Bowie, because of which he almost lost an eye. It all happened during a concert on June 18, 2004 in the Norwegian Oslo. After about 20 minutes into the performance, a lolly pop came flying from the audience and a part of its stick got rammed between David`s left eyeball and left eyelid. A panic-stricken tour team member helped him remove the stick, and David continued with the performance, as a true professional. Incidentally, fans have been sending their glass eyes to David for years, with the desire for him to autograph these and return them, but for some reason, he kept them, and he now owns about 30 glass eyes.
