Autonomy pays $775m for US software group$

The London stock market saw a rare multimillion dollar acquisition supported by a share placing this morning with the $775 million agreed takeover by Mike Lynch's Autonomy Corporation of Interwoven, a fellow computer software business based in San Jose, California.$
