And Finally Lego Robots

Lego robots, skiing behind horses, and a woman who has flunked her driving exam 774 times and counting.

And Finally The best of Reuters Oddly Enough. From our web show studio in New York, I'm Chad Ruble. This week, we're recapping some of the Oddest and Offbeatyest stories we missed recently. Starting with Legos. Over 200 children participated in the LEGO Robot Championship. Kids competed by performing various tasks with their robo counterparts. The event is designed to get kids more interested in math and science. And, presumably, Legos. The winners get to compete in the world championships later this year in the US and Denmark, as well as get this awesome LEGO trophy. You ever go to the horse track and wish, Man, I wish I could ski behind those horses? That's exactly what they do in Switzerland. Whoa! I wanna get off I wanna get off I wanna get off I wanna get off. Called, skikjoring, the men on skis are pulled along a 2,700-meter long track by unsaddled thoroughbreds at speeds of up to 50 kilometers an hour. If it looks dangerous, that's because it is. So kids, don't try this at home - with your horses, snow covered racetrack, and water skiing equipment. You might get hurt. And finally, on And Finally you know what they say, If at first you don't succeed, try another 774 times. This is 68 year old Cha Sa-Soon, waiting to take the written portion of her driving exam again. See, she's flunked the test 774 times. A true testament to perserverance, Sa-Soon is taking the test again, hoping get that elusive 60 percent grade on the 50 questions required to pass. She's been at it for about four years now. And her 8 dollar exam fees now total over 68 hundred dollars. Dude. Just let her pass already. She's trying to get her license so she can buy a truck and start her own delivery business. So how'd she do this time? She flunked. But something tells me she'll be back. See ya next time.
