Readybot Will Clean Your Home (2)

The project`s goal is to expand household robotics and show the world that humans and robots can live in harmony.

A group of Silicon Valley engineers has started a project called Readybot, which will enable house cleaning in a simple and robotised fashion.

Slowly, but safely, the Readybot can carry glasses, dishes and plates, clean, scrub, polish and wash greasy stains from kitchen cabinets. It can also perform three chores simultaneously, for example vacuum and was the floor.

The Readybot can now perform 30-40 percent of usual daily chores and the team of engineers believes that with additional programming and advancement, the percentage might jump to 80.

The exact release date is still not familiar, nor is Readybot`s price.

The robot`s prototype is always used for fairs and presentations, but Tom Benson, head Readybot designer, is still not sure when it will be placed on the market.
