The French horn, or just a horn is a brass instrument which dates back to ancient times. Of course, it was not made from brass at first, but was a natural animal horn; it was made of shells or a wooden tube. As the materials changed, its features changes as well. The valves were added at the start of the 19 th century, which can perform all tones within the instrument`s range. It is played as a solo instrument, as well as in orchestras and chamber groups.
