STORY: "And Finally..." The best of Reuters Oddly Enough this week. From our web show studio in New York, I'm Chad Ruble.

We begin this week in India where their "rural olympics" never fail to light up our "Odd Meter." You won't find pole vaulting, the 100-meter-dash, or synchronized swimming here. But you might just find a guy dancing on another guy's protruding stomach. Apparently it was a trick he learned as a kid, and has been perfecting it ever since. Chase that dream, Olympian! Then there's this guy, who's talent is bending a metal pole with his neck. I don't know about the arm. Maybe from another stunt. This guy's ears must be in great shape. Check out their weight lifting prowess. The event is one of the most anticipated of the year in northern India, and it's not tough to see why.

Carnival in Rio has gone to the dogs.

Literally! OK, it's not carnival yet, but that doesn't stop hundreds of dog owners from turning out each year to celebrate the dawn of another festival, by dressing their pets up like weirdos. My dog never wants to go snorkling with me. This guy must be late for the big race. And these two must be Guardian Angel Dogs. No. Guard Dog Angels. No. There's a joke there somewhere. What is it with people who dress their dogs up like... people? Is it just me, or is this phenomenon just weird?

What am I saying? That's totally normal.

And Finally on And Finally, we've got a new President and newish Pope. Let's pay tribute with some naked people!

All right, they're not really naked. They're body Artists. Their term, not mine. They may look like freaky, avant garde dancers, but something interesting happens when they join together. Look! It's Pope Benedict! And look! It's Obama! Not sure how the President of the United States and the leader of Catholicism feel about these representations. But I find it oddly, enough!
